Initially self released as vinyl only by this Toronto based band, we were so impressed by this album that we decided to let the rest of the world know about it. It's like we were in on the best kept secret and felt guilty not telling everyone else about it. No No Zero's strange cross pollination of punk rock and sexual verse defies categorization.

Bionic "Black Blood"

"Black Blood" marks the third instalment in the Bionic discography and is by far their best and most aggressive moment yet. Zion, Land Of Talk, Xavier Caffeine and even a marching band complete with cheerleaders. This is no nostalgic sleep walking trip, these Montreal miscreants are equally as committed to incinerating the past as they are about giving the finger to the future. "Dare to ride the Heliocraft" captures the thunderous experience felt at their live shows. The album was recorded in two overnight sessions and is a continuous, eleven song path of destruction. This is not for the faint of heart or for people scared at the sight of blood. Starvin Hungry "Cold Burns"

Punk Rock is too small a phrase to contain Starvin Hungry's second album. The band have consumed influences from every era of rock 'n' roll and cooked up something that recalls the highly individualized think punk of early pioneers like the Voidoids, Wire, and The Wipers, as well as the ferocious sexual splatter of the Stooges and Pussy Galore. "Cold Burns" brings something new to the table through the use of alternately tuned guitars and unusual chord changes served on a warm plate of classick hooks. Recorded by the infinitely versatile Jace Lasek of Besnard Lakes fame, "Cold Burns" is the sound of rock n' roll moving backward and forward, like a good fuck should.
