Crabe's 'Ero Gaki' Comes Out This Fall!
In October 2010, Signed By Force unleashes Crabe's perverse, math-punk onslaught - ERO GAKI (meaning Young Perverts) on CD, LP & digital formats.
Originally self-released, the new version of Crabe's debut album has been remixed and mastered to come as close as possible to the sonic assault of their live shows. The frenetic juxtaposition of The Jesus Lizard, Devo, Aphex Twin, The Melvins and Naked City coming from just two musicians is something that needs to be both seen and heard, in order to be believed.

Montreal's Devil Eyes Debut on SBF
The post punk/garage/hardcore/swamp blues/metal trio has been kickin' around town for a while now, and are finally releasing their yet to be named debut album. You may be one of the lucky few who picked up their concrete cased CDR at their live shows but the band's first official release will be a 7" single for "Rip My Heart Out" b/w the Johnny Kidd and the Pirates cover "Please Don't Touch" out in July 2009. The Hour's Brendan Murphy best captures the band's winning formula as "...songs that make you want to pound beer, have seizures and stab people".
How could we not sign that???
The full length comes out in the fall of 2009.
Signed By Force Gets Sakked.
Montreal’s very own Nutsak join the Signed By Force roster with their debut 7” single “Last Train To Nutsak, NJ” and the instrumental B-side “You Are Going To Prison”. The band features Sam Shalabi (when he’s not too busy making a dozen other albums), Chris Burns, André Asselin and Howard Chackowicz. The full-length album “Failed Musician” comes out July 7th, 2009 on both CD, LP and download formats.
The 7" single is out now at all fine retailers and is also available as a download.
Canada's heaviest band join the ranks
Known as Canada’s most lethal and crushing band, Windsor, Ontario’s Fiftywatthead release their third full-length album “Fogcutter” on Signed By Force. The album hit Canadian stores on September 16th and comes out in Europe and the U.S. on November 11th, 2008. It is of course also available for download worldwide.
Trigger Effect prepare European invasion!

It's like we were in on the best kept secret and felt guilty not telling everyone else about it. No No Zero's strange cross pollination of punk rock and sexual verse defies categorization.

Starvin Hungry "Cold Burns"
Punk Rock is too small a phrase to contain Starvin Hungry's second album. The band have consumed influences from every era of rock 'n' roll and cooked up something that recalls the highly individualized think punk of early pioneers like the Voidoids, Wire, and The Wipers, as well as the ferocious sexual splatter of the Stooges and Pussy Galore. "Cold Burns" brings something new to the table through the use of alternately tuned guitars and unusual chord changes served on a warm plate of classick hooks. Recorded by the infinitely versatile Jace Lasek of Besnard Lakes fame, "Cold Burns" is the sound of rock n' roll moving backward and forward, like a good fuck should.

"Dare to ride the Heliocraft" captures the thunderous experience felt at their live shows. The album was recorded in two overnight sessions and is a continuous, eleven song path of destruction. This is not for the faint of heart or for people scared at the sight of blood. Trigger Effect are not trying to sell shoes or even entertain you here, they are trying to obliterate the world one person at a time.

"Black Blood" marks the third instalment in the Bionic discography and is by far their best and most aggressive moment yet. Their new album sees them breaking new ground with their own hard brutalizing mix of punk meets 70's rock with stabs of Devo and psychedelia, while still keeping the explosive, juggernaut intensity that their live shows are renowned for. They've enlisted the musical help of friends in the burgeoning Montreal musical community like Tricky Woo, The Besnard Lakes, Silver Mt. Zion, Land Of Talk, Xavier Caffeine and even a marching band complete with cheerleaders. Make no bones about it, "Black Blood" is as rocking as it gets but still manages to push the envelope and prove that loud rock music can still evolve out of the mire.
